The International Lane of Service is a recognized Rotary lane of service. This lane extends the focus of Rotary Club beyond local matters to a global outlook in support of Health, Hunger and Humanitarian causes. The Rotary Club of Lexington Park provides vital tools where expertise and local funds are not available. Being part of a network, the club makes a difference in the developing world without becoming entangled in overseas bureaucratic administrative difficulties. The club works - Rotary Club to Rotary Club - in many parts of the world, alleviating poverty and sickness. Needed funds are raised by club members and volunteers within our club go abroad to provide management and technical expertise.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROJECTS

International Service: This committee identifies and documents international projects
and Clubs from other countries to network with to implement solutions. The committee
also coordinates Club member participation and project execution. In 2009 and 2010, the
committee successfully pursued a matching grant to support a computer lab in Ayden
Turkey (left). In prior years, the committees has supported a water project in Marcalla,
Honduras conjunction with the Leonardtown Rotary Club, a school project in Ratchaburi,
Thailand, and the evaluation of an education project in Belize.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

Rotary International Foundation: The Rotary International Foundation committee provides information to the membership regarding the purpose and accomplishments of The Rotary International Foundation in its efforts to distribute charitable goods and services through international education and humanitarian programs. The Club boasts one Major Donor at the $10K level and another one is well on the way.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE

International Youth Exchange: This committee coordinates the Youth Exchange activities of the Club.

Group Study Exchange: This committee identifies and submits the name of a candidate for the District 7620 Group Study Exchange Team. The committee also coordinates and provides hospitality for visiting international Group Study Exchange teams.

ROTARY AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships: This committee is responsible for the selection of candidates for Ambassadorial and other Rotary Scholarships to be submitted to the District. The committee also encourages and arranges for club members to become Scholar Counselors.
